Artistic Liberation

Creativity as Resistance and Renewal

At Tribal Minds, we believe that wellness is sovereignty. True self-determination begins with healing — not only of the body, but also of the mind, spirit, and community. Our Indigenous Wellness programs respond to the most urgent needs facing Native peoples today — from suicide prevention to intergenerational trauma — through culturally grounded, holistic, and future-focused approaches.

Our work in wellness is not confined to Western models. It is prayer, ceremony, kinship, and connection to the land. It is identity reclaimed and balance restored. By drawing upon traditional practices and forging new pathways, we create spaces where Indigenous people can come back into harmony with themselves, their families, and the world around them.

Traditional Song & Dance Development

The heartbeat of our people lives in our songs and dances. At Tribal Minds, we invest in the next generation of singers and dancers by creating programs that:

01

Equip youth with identity, confidence, and belonging through song and movement.

02

Equip youth with identity, confidence, and belonging through song and movement.

03

Strengthen intergenerational ties, ensuring ancestral knowledge is passed forward with pride.

Public Art & Murals

Art transforms landscapes — and Tribal Minds has been at the forefront of reshaping how Indigenous stories are seen in Nevada and beyond.

Together, we brought powerful Indigenous murals to life in Las Vegas, weaving stories of resilience and visibility into the city’s fabric.

NOT THT NDN Project

NOT THT NDN is more than a docuseries — it is a counter-narrative. This project dismantles stereotypes and challenges misrepresentations of Indigenous peoples by telling unapologetically authentic stories. Through film, conversation, and media, we push back against invisibility and amplify Indigenous perspectives in the national dialogue.

Music & Language Revitalization

Our work in music and language goes hand in hand. By supporting traditional singers, fostering Native musicians, and developing spaces for Indigenous languages to thrive, we affirm that expression is survival. Every song, every spoken word is an act of liberation and continuity — a reminder that our cultures are alive, present, and unbroken.

Targeted Identity projects

At the heart of Artistic Liberation is the intentional work of identity-building. We engage in projects that strengthen how Native peoples — especially youth — see themselves and how the world sees us. These targeted identity initiatives create:

01

Media and storytelling that amplify Native brilliance.

02

Visual and cultural interventions in public spaces.

03

Projects that build pride, disrupt invisibility, and shift narratives.
