Tribal Minds was founded on the Hungry Valley Indian Reservation, home of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony. Today, we are based in <\/span>Reno, Nevada \u2014 a major center of Indigenous development and connection in the Great Basin.<\/b> Reno is where Tribal peoples from across Nevada and beyond come to live, work, study, and build community. From this hub, we serve all 28 federally recognized Tribes and Colonies in Nevada while building relationships across Turtle Island.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

We operate statewide, serving Indigenous communities across Nevada \u2014 from urban centers to rural towns to remote reservations. While Nevada is our home, our work extends through partnerships across Turtle Island, from First Nations in Canada to Indigenous relatives in Central and South America. We also collaborate with Indigenous peoples globally through cultural exchange, advocacy, and artistic liberation projects.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our work is centered on Tribal communities, especially those often overlooked and underfunded. We focus on strengthening sovereignty, wellness, and creativity in both rural and urban spaces, with intentional outreach to remote reservations. We also work in coalition with BIPOC-led organizations and allies who share our vision for liberation and balance.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Tribal Minds partners with Tribes, nonprofits, foundations, universities, cultural institutions, and grassroots movements that align with our values. We seek relationships that are healthy, prosperous, and people-centered \u2014 always grounded in Indigenous values and respect for the land. We believe in Native solutions for Native issues, while also welcoming partnerships that help uplift Indigenous futures.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The name \u201cTribal Minds\u201d reflects our belief that <\/span>Tribal thought is a gift to the world.<\/b> It honors the collective wisdom, resilience, and imagination that flow from Indigenous lifeways. Our name reminds us that sovereignty begins in the mind \u2014 and that by thinking together, we can create futures of liberation, balance, and resilience.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
